Who remits VAT on TikTok Shop sales, me or TikTok?
VAT is paid by your customer, because it is included in the sale price. Remitting it to the tax authority, however, is up to you if your business is established in the EU: TikTok keeps its commissions but does not remit the tax on your behalf. There are some special cases, such as non-EU sellers, where the platform collects and remits the VAT.
